So it's the weekend and the perfect time to go out somewhere to get a delicious breakfast or brunch! I personally LOVE One World Cafe, which serves brunch all day. You can see their menu here: One World Cafe Brunch Menu. It's actually vegan - but it's sooo delicious. It's healthy, organic, and affordable.

Any suggestions for good breakfast/brunch places to check out?

My favorite places are Donna's which is on the corner of St. Paul's and 30th which has a fantastic salmon hash dish and great espressos, and Miss Shirley's in the Inner Harbor which has pancakes to die for and my favorite ever eggs benedict with crab. Brunch is my favorite meal, I could seriously eat it everyday.

Agreed with Keith! You can follow them on Facebook for daily specials, discounts, etc. Also it's super convenient since it's only a few blocks east from campus.

If I had to choose a #2 breakfast joint in town, I'd probably have to go with Alchemy in Hampden. I rarely venture too far from campus for breakfast since I like mornings best when they're sort of lazy and slow, but Alchemy is within walking distance so it's definitely an option. It's a new place (just a few months old), which my friends and I checked out during Restaurant Week this year. The menu is very unique and the place is very trendy. I got the sweet potato chicken hash when I went - YUM. I absolutely would recommend it!

Absolutely One World Cafe -- and it's not entirely vegan so you can still get wonderfully decadent waffles/French toast and very interesting omelettes!  I always pick one of their specials, unless I'm feeling particularly healthy, in which case I go for the oatmeal with fruit.

Miss Shirley's is another big winner, but you can't even try to pretend to have a healthy meal there.  It's definitely a nice indulgence every once in a while.

The Ambassador also has a great brunch -- all you can eat Indian food and bottomless Mimosas/Bloody Marys (if you're of age!!).

Carma's just started offering weekend brunch, even opening up on Sunday which used to be a day off for them.

As you can tell, I'm a brunch person.  Yum!

I am failing, as I live on top of One World and have yet to eat there. lol. I guess I should work on that. Carma's Cafe has really good oatmeal! If you're into oatmeal. So thick!!!! And has a lot of cream to choose from. I think I will try Pete's next weekend. :)

I'm sorry, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING is better than Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point. The Captain Crunch French Toast is probably the best thing I've ever eaten in my life.

I really like Miss Shirley's - there's one right over by Loyola (a long walk/short drive away), in addition to the one Wafa mentioned in the Inner Harbor.

I'm also a big fan of the breakfast/brunch food at Paper Moon - I've never actually been there at brunch time, but I usually end up getting some sort of breakfast food for dinner whenever I go there! I went there on Tuesday with friends to break Passover, and I got a breakfast sandwich, French toast, and bread pudding, all delicious!

It's also Sterling Brunch at the FFC this weekend - they're doing a french toast bar and strawberry bread pudding, among other fun options! I missed the last one, and this is my last one on a meal plan, so I'm definitely going!

Oh yes, chocolotea hot chocolate...I had it for the first time and I couldn't eat properly for a day and a half. It's like they took a whole dark chocolate bar and melted it with ginger ( that's the kind I had) so my stomach was a goner for a while haha. soooooooo good and chocolate lovers will really appreciate it!

I'm a fan of the Einstein's Bagels in Charles Street Market... it always seems to hit the spot when I'm craving a sausage omelet.

I thought for sure I'd be the only one to say Golden West in Hampden, but Josh beat me to it.  Anyway, it's really good and they serve breakfast all day, so if you ever feel like an omelet or pancakes for dinner, it's a great place to go!

I literally just came back from brunch at One World and it was delicious, but I'd have to go with Blue Moon.  At first I was apprehensive because the wait was TWO HOURS LONG but once I had their pancakes, it was welllll worth the wait.

Although it's already been mentioned, I LOVE Miss Shirley's! My mommy came into town last weekend and we ordered so much food that the people at the table next to us shared. Like Miranda mentioned, there are two locations and the restaurants are really large so the wait isn't normally long despite it being the best/most famous breakfast place in Baltimore!

Personally, I love making brunch for my friends in my apartment. Just buy a ton of eggs, bread, and some sausage, and you're good to go. Plus, if everyone pitches in, it actually is really cheap overall and saves you money. Plus, a lot of discussions ensue, and you have something to talk about later!

My favorite place to eat (no matter the time of day) is actually right down the street from my dorm - Tambers! It is an unusual but fantastic combination of  a traditional American diner with Indian food. Sunday mornings you can usually find me there eating chicken tikka masala, vegetable pakora and stuffed nan OR a bacon cheddar burger with fries.... nom nom nom.

I have to agree with Wafa, Donna's is the best and its not that far from most of the dorms, but aside from that Einstein's and FFC also have amazing breakfast/brunch options!

I'm going through old lists of things to do and realized I never got to this. So here's my first post as a Hopkins graduate reflecting on the good ol' days at Hopkins when I loved having brunch at either Chocolatea or taking a nice walk to Miss. Shirley's in Roland Park. All you need to do is look at their menus to realize why these places are the best. Miss. Shirley's has actually been awarded best breakfast dish in Baltimore.

Pete's Grille - known for being Michael Phelps' breakfast place - is not only within walking distance but less expensive: http://www.yelp.com/biz/petes-grille-baltimore

Happy eating in Baltimore! I miss it already.
