For anyone in the area near Hopkins, definitely consider visiting right now! It's beautiful weather, and everyone on campus is taking advantage of that - it looks a lot more like an alive campus with people outside studying and playing games!

If you're out of school already and planning a visit, consider coming during June. Not all schools are out, so the info sessions/tours have been smaller/more personal!

If anyone is considering visiting, you should see if Gilman Hall is open right now!  I'm so excited to have a class there this fall and can't wait to see it!

I saw on the library's twitter feed (@mselibrary) that the Hutzler Undergraduate Reading Room (The HUT) in Gilman Hall reopened this Monday. So it looks like a yes!

Gilman is the best building on campus, hands down. The atrium is beautiful, the HUT is the best place in the world to study, and the fact that there is an archaeological exhibit in the basement seals the deal. If you visit Hopkins, make sure you get a good look around this architectural gem.

The campus visit for me was a vital part of my decision to enroll at Hopkins. It wasn't just important for me to see campus and the surrounding neighborhoods; I wanted to see exactly what Hopkins students were like, and it turned out they were incredibly welcoming and similar to myself. I loved the energy campus had when I first visited and I'm still friends with people I met on my tour and on campus during my visit!

Baltimore was the only place I went to visit schools, and while the first visit was perfect, coming to Hopkins the next day, I was (un)lucky enough to get caught in a huge storm as we went to tour the campus. Even though I didn't get the best picture of campus, the information session and talking with the students did leave a good impression. Hopefully if you visit you'll get to see all that the campus has to offer, but don't assume that a less-than-ideal visit means that this isn't the school for you!
